Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“DeshiFace”, “we”), a company registered in Portugal. By joining the waitlist or using DeshiFace you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.

1. Who can use DeshiFace

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be legally able to enter into this agreement where you live.
• You must not have been removed from DeshiFace before, unless we have agreed in writing that you may return.
• You must not be required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction, or have been convicted of a violent or sexual offence.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in details private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens on it. One person, one account.

3. Being honest

DeshiFace works because people are who they say they are. Your photos must be of you, recent and show your face. Everything on your profile must be true, including your age, relationship status and intentions. We may ask you to verify your identity and may remove anyone who doesn’t pass.

4. How you treat others

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. In short: be respectful, never harass, threaten or ask anyone for money, and never share another member’s information without their consent.

5. Your content

You own the photos, text and messages you add. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and moderate them only so we can run DeshiFace. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we need to keep a copy for safety, legal or moderation reasons as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Safety and moderation

We review reports, may read reported conversations, and may warn, restrict, hide or remove any account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. We do not run criminal background checks on members. Please read our safety tips and always take care when meeting someone in person.

7. Paid features

Joining and matching are free. If we offer paid subscriptions in future, their prices, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before you buy, and your statutory rights as a consumer, including the right of withdrawal where it applies, are not affected. 8. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. We will tell you why unless doing so would put someone at risk or break the law.

9. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep DeshiFace safe and available, but we cannot guarantee that every member is who they say they are or that the service will always be uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights as a consumer. 10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU or the UK, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your home country and can bring a claim in your local courts. 11. Changes

We will tell you about significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using DeshiFace after that, the new terms apply.
